Here’s a fun app that anyone can download and enjoy with their iPhone. It’s not really a useful app, but heck it can be entertaining (and challenging) to keep a daily log of yourself. Maybe if you try hard enough, you can see yourself turning old :D

So basically when you first start the application, you are required to create a new user. You can also do this up-front by visiting their website at: www.dailymugshot.com. Once you have created a new user, you have to maintain the login credentials.

You will be presented with your previous mugshot. As you can see in the screenshot above, I took that photo 2 days ago (yea … I’m slipping … I was suppose to take a photo everyday). All you need to do is to tap the “Take Mugshot” button to capture the latest photo of yourself.

Once taken, you can resize and align the photo so that your eyes fall into the landmark (that two little circles). This ensures that your face stays in the same location for the Mugshow to work properly. Once you’re happy, just tap the “Upload” button and your photo will be updated to the website.

There are many other options/settings that you can play with from the website so I suggest you go there and check it out. For example, you can setup a reminder e-mail to be sent to you everyday at a certain time to take a photo.

Summary

As mentioned before, this is a fun app. Doesn’t really do much except allow you to see your hair growing longer and shorter depending on when you take the photo. Takes only about 3 minutes of your time everyday … so why not give it a try.
