How It All Began?

Groom’s side of the story…

I remember the first time I met Cynthia was while chatting online via ICQ (yes, yes, yes … I’m one of those millions of people out there in cyberspace who met their sweethearts online). The odd thing was; I didn’t really wanted to speak with her rather I was actually chatting with "Clement" who was actually my college-mate. It turned out that she was actually using her brothers nickname to go online and once she had revealed herself, I suppose it has always been the thought of chatting anonymously turns everyone into a regular Casanova.

One thing lead to another and we agreed to meet up (*ahem ahem* … that means a date) on 1st September 2001 at KLCC.

I was also actively involved in something called the Klang Valley Palm User Group (KVPUG) that had gatherings every month at coffee shops such as Coffee Bean or Starbucks. These gatherings (known as Beamfest) kind of given me an excuse to ask her out for more drinks.

Being the "professional" driver as I was, I remember that I have scratched the front bumper (doing a turn in the parking lot) during the first outing with my dearest (*whoops*)

To make matters worst, on my second date, I crashed into a pillar in another parking lot … to be specific … this actually happened in Subang Parade parking area (*GRRZZZZ*)

It was a grand achievement that Cynthia has decided to accept me (being myself … a clown as I am) and upgraded my status from being merely a friend… to someone that is close to her heart… on the 29th February 2002.
